Happy Holidays

Hope you have had a good holiday and spent some time doing things that you love with the people you love. Here's a little illustration I did yesterday for a card.

Here's something that I worked on for my illustration class. Its done with water color, stitched thread, and a lame drawing done in adobe illustrator (i'm really not great with my pen tablet yet). It's supposed to be the cover for a Beach Fossils EP. They are a great band and I highly recommend checking out their music. I would like to work on the drawing a little more, and maybe done some hand lettering as well, but here's what I had time for. I'm happy with how the water color turned out and the way the stitching looks in the scan.

Illustrative Inspiration: Gemma Correll

If I were anything close to being as awesome at illustrating at Gemma Correll my life would be complete. I love everything she does. EVERYTHING. Her style is so cute and whimsical and hilarious. Inspiration for days! One thing she does that I really need to start doing is keeping an illustrated journal. I think it would really help me develop my style and ideas way more.

Rehashing Ideas and The Blog That Will Be

So, I realize that this blog is really old and outdated, but I'm going to try to perk it up in the upcoming weeks. I currently post most of the things that muse me over on a little tumblr site you can find here. I'm finding that tumblr is not as accessible to the general public seeing as how you can only comment on my posts if you also have a tumblr. I really would love to share my ideas and findings along with my own personal style with everyone, so I'm going to be merging on to this blog. Just to give you an idea of what's to come, I'll be sharing my personal outfit posts and projects I'm working on as well as, fashion, interior design, illustration/graphic designs, crafts, food, and anything I find lovely or impressive.
